Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...

Changming Yuan

Changming grew up in rural China and began learning English in Shanghai at the age of 19. An emigrant to Canada, he earned a Ph.D. in English from the University of Saskatchewan. He has published at least 15 poetry collections in English and began writing short stories in 2021. He has started a cross-cultural novel, which promises to expend into a trilogy.

Converting” is a story in memoir form. It will surely remain memorable to all readers for the understanding that a son shows for his father’s compassionate nature, one that transcends political and even religious identities,

Bewildering Stories does not officially observe religious seasons; there’d be no end to them. Suffice it, then, to allow Changming Yuan’s “Converting” and Gary Campbell’s “Vee Signs” also in this issue, to fit and transcend them all.

Changming Yuan’s bio sketch can be found here.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Changming. We’re glad to have you with us.
