Alan Katerinsky

Alan has held quite a few jobs in his career, such as teaching computer science and constructing pipe organs. He has published poetry and short stories. And he is particularly interested in science-fiction fandom and conventions.

“Con Sweetie” is a short poem that depicts and encounter between a bespectacled young man and an alluring young lady who sashays up to him.

But what does the title “Con Sweetie” mean? Is the girl “conning” the young man? Or are they meeting at a “con,” a convention? Very likely, both at once. One can only smile at the plight of the young man, who finds himself living a truly Bewildering story!
