Lou Cassidy

Lou is living in Rio de Janeiro, where he trains Capoeira and teaches English. He writes short stories, poetry, songs and screenplays. He has an MFA in Creative Writing.

“The Story You Wrote About Toothpaste” recounts the thoughts and experiences of someone trying to write a story while setting out on an airplane trip. The events are comical but not exactly far-fetched; many could tell similar stories. Here’s a true one:

Baggage inspector: “What’s this?’
Traveler: “An electronic toothbrush.”
Inspector: “Oh? Turn it on, please. And aim it at that wall over there.”
