“The Cold One” is a romance that will intrigue readers with its setting, Lapland, and its main character, Vex, a figure out of Norse mythology. Readers will be “kept on the page” in the story as they see Vex becoming increasingly real to the young heroine, Katarina. They both find that the best wish-fulfillment might be of wishes they never knew they had.
