Bewildering Stories biography

Only three of my 17 published books consist of my own fiction: an espionage/thriller novel, a military/action novel published under a pseudonym, and an award-winning short-story collection: Once Upon a Decade: Tales of the Fifties ( Comfort, 2011).

Newer work of mine has appeared in Scrutiny Journal; Open Pen; and in Jotters United in 2016, in Sick Lit Magazine; Alfie Dog Fiction; Obra/Artifact; 404 Words: Palm-Sized Stories; Flash! Anthology; Open Pen; and in Baily’s Beads,. after the story won their contest,in 2017, and in Inwood Indiana, “Unwanted Visitors” issue; in Soft Cartel; and in Baily’s Beads, in 2018.

In 2018 Soft Cartel also published my non-fiction about Cuba just before the Castro takeover. These literary journals are based in the U.S., U.K., Australia, Canada and Ireland. My travels on the high seas with the Naval Reserves have influenced my writing. I'm Emeritus Professor of Spanish at SUNY Fredonia. Here’s my website.
