Bewildering Stories biography

L. B. Zinger is the pen name of a retired Cardiac Electrophysiologist and ethicist who has been troubled by stories rattling around in her brain while trying to take care of patients. In retirement, she has time to write those stories, well or poorly as it may be. She has been a migraine sufferer since age 14 and for the “Migraines and Metamorphosis” story drew on her own experiences managing migraine as an adolescent and adult.

The pseudonym pays homage to her husband’s family name which was changed by the Hungarian government in the early 1900s to make it less Semitic. It didn’t work; most of them met an untimely end courtesy of the Nazis, but that story is told by another.

I have dual Facebook pages, one of which is under my pseudonym LB Zinger. On LinkedIn, I am Lou-Anne Beauregard.
