Bewildering Stories biography
I am a South African writer, working as a commercial diver in the Middle East. I came into “serious” writing fairly recently, although I have contemplated it since college, in 1992.
For my end of high school essay, I broke all the prescribed rules; I wrote science fiction. That essay was voted the best in its category, entered into the high school annual anthology and entered into a writing competition on my behalf. I won, and received a certificate and a small cash prize. To date, that was the only time I have been published, and regret never receiving a copy of said anthology.
I enjoy writing. My preferred genre is sci-fi, but I have also dabbled in historical fiction and contemporary urban fiction.
I am also an avid motorcyclist, amateur luthier (unfortunately I am better at building instruments than playing them) and pet lover.
