Bewildering Stories biography

I am a San Francisco Bay Area native. At eighteen, I joined the U.S. Navy and had my first child. Not necessarily in that order. By twenty-two I had my second child and started a 32-year career as an aircraft mechanic.

I have always loved to read, but my writing inspiration came after finding myself sitting at home for a year, rehabilitating from brain surgery. Initially I wrote horror and fantasy novels geared toward young adults, but I slowly branched out to adult fiction and short stories.

I have been a finalist in the PNWA writing contest, and my short story “How To Live A Happy Life” is my first publication (many thanks to the wonderful staff at Bewildering Stories!)

I now live on the Washington coast with my wife, and we were recently blessed to have our daughter and two of our grandchildren move nearby. In addition to writing, I enjoy biking, gardening, hiking, playing with our ever-expanding collection of grandkids and all the other spoils of retirement.
