Bewildering Stories biography

I am a former fundamentalist who, after leaving the church, went on to earn an art degree and then an interdisciplinary degree in philosophy and religious studies from the University of Louisville. I am now a progressive activist and writer.

My poetry and fiction often examine spiritual and existential longings through the lenses of cosmic horror, weird fiction, transcendental science fiction, Romanticism, nature writing, and philosophy.

I also have a few nonfiction projects in the works and am a collaborator on Letters from the Earth: A Catalog of Worldviews (lettersfromtheearth.org), a series of interviews with people about how they confront death, purpose, and the human condition.

I hike and backpack any chance I get (instagram @lmdimf). I have a wonderful partner, and we live with two geriatric cats in Louisville, Kentucky. I am nearing completion on my first book titled, To Unknown Gods: Psalms of Cosmic Horror from the Dark Woods.
