Bewildering Stories biography

I spent my formative years in India, have lived in Britain and now reside in the United States.

My short story collection On Earth As It Is In Heaven has won the 2023 Orison Prize in fiction and will be published by Orison Books. Literary journals where my writings have appeared include Mid-American Review, Bellevue Literary Review, The Iowa Review, Santa Monica Review, Gargoyle, and Epiphany.

One of my short stories was cited as a Distinguished Story in the notables list of Best American Short Stories 2016. I was a finalist in The George Floyd Short Story Competition conducted by the Nottingham Writers Studio, Nottingham, England, and my story has been published in the anthology Black Lives, in Britain. An audio file of the same is available through Nottingham City Libraries.

Other distinctions include fellowships to The Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies, Minnesota, and the Hawthornden Castle International Writers Retreat, Scotland.
