Christopher DeWan

Bewildering Stories biography

Christopher DeWan is an award-winning creator of short fiction, stageplays, teleplays, screenplays, and new media.

He has written numerous short stories, recently featured in Apocrypha and Abstractions, Bartleby Snopes, Fractured West, In Between Altered States, MicroHorror, Niteblade, and Necessary Fiction, and in 2012, was a contributor at the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference in Vermont.

His fiction collection, The Story of My Life (Excerpts), is currently under consideration for the Calvino Prize.

He has a dual MFA in critical studies and theater from the California Institute of the Arts and an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Cornell University, and is part of the creative writing faculty of the California State Summer School for the Arts, teaching fiction and screenwriting.
