Stefan Andres

Bewildering Stories biography

A German writer, Stefan Andres (1906-1970) made his home in Positano, Italy both before and after World War Two and wrote very evocative stories of what it was like to live there back then. They were first published in 1957. He was a devout southern German Catholic who went native on the Amalfi Coast and died in Rome.
