Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Domonique Dierickx Krentz
Domonique writes movingly about her and her sister’s career in managing their family’s funeral home. Their profession fulfills a vital social function but is, somehow, far more difficult to imagine than that of, say, “first responders.” Domonique confronts the emotional toll it carries by hosting a podcasst with her sister about death and by publishing novels and short stories.
“Hot Toot” is not about death at all; it’s about dealing with a physical emergency and the consequences of a big mistake in courtesy. The story is all about life, an example of the rewards that may be generated by understanding and forgiving.
