Bewildering Stories biography

I began writing short stories when I was fifteen and began publishing them in independent literary journals in my twenties. By now I have published ninety short stories; three novellas, all available at Pikerspress.com; three novels: The Way Home, The Man Clothed in Linen, Suffer the Children (all available on Kindle); and a nonfiction account of a year I spent in Iraq: Nights in the Pink Motel, Naval Institute Press, 2008 (now available on Kindle).

I also was contributing editor of a collection of essays about North American interdependence: Identities in North America, Stanford, 1995).

I live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
