it’s getting closer
when the world will feel

not she the world or earth
nor it the world or earth

perhaps instead the sphere
and all of the sphere’s contents
the totality as if a cosmic butterfly net
scooped earth from the solar system

everything in that net
all will feel this in the next fifties

species falling
and a sorrow that shakes
