Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Louis Scenti
Louis has had careers in theater production, playwriting, a positon as a corporate executive and as adjunct faculty at Columbia University. Louis says he has “slipped the bonds of organizational life” and has “rededicated himself to writing.”
“Live Free or Die” is the motto of the state of New Hampshire, where much of the story takes place. The plot initially seems to promise that an arranged date will bring together Mary and Mike, who might otherwise not have made the date voluntarily, themselves. But the incidental circumstances of their evening out evokes a childhood recollection in Mike that affects Mary’s life and Mike’s most of all.
