Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Sally Stevens
A native and life-long resident of Los Angeles, Sally Stevens has enjoyed a 60-year career as a singer, lyricist and choral director in film and television. Sally also loves writing, but her role as a pillar of Hollywood’s musical production prevented her from completing an MFA program at the University of Iowa. Nonetheless, Sally has participated in the Iowa Summer Writing Program for 27 years, and Iowa City has come to feel like a second home town.
“Mrs. Billingsley and the New Neighbors” will charm readers with its depiction of the kind-hearted and neighbourly Mrs. Billingsley, who would like to welcome a new couple moving into the house next door. However, it’s just a little too easy for Naomi Billingsley to assume that Ivan and Leila Mae conform to conventional stereotypes; the two have had a reason to be moving far and often.
Sally Stevens’ bio sketch can be found here.
