Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Frances Koziar
Frances lives in Kingston, Ontario, where she is, among other things, a social justice activist and editor. She has published prose and poetry very extensively.
“What’s Left in the End” is copyrighted by date of completion rather than publication, according to Bewildering Stories’ preference. The year 2021 will bring to the readers’ minds that it was a year in the Covid pandemic when gatherings of people were discouraged in order to prevent the spread of the airborne virus. Consequently, cities became quiet. Frances’ story takes the scenario a big step further by postulating a virus’s causing a mass extermination. The narrator and the readers will wonder, what is left in the end? They will surely agree that it is indeed the best one could hope for.
