Lisa has a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University. She’s fond of writing novellas as well as other activities such as bouldering.

“The Healing of Tobias Strong” will come as a kind of literary comfort to regular readers of Bewildering Stories, for it carefully recounts a story of grief shared by a widower with his mother-in-law, whose kindness restores his confidence in his artistic ability and enables him to depict in painting his late wife’s smile.

The only curiosity in the story is the “plague doctor’s mask.” At first, it is a tactile artifact, a garment, but it seems to change its nature gradually as Tannaz and Tobias connect in mutual understanding.
