Bewildering Stories introduces and welcomes...
Floyd Largent
Floyd says he’s semi-retired as an archeologist and regrets not having dug up any “sleeping gods or ancient evils.” Personally, I’d count that as a successful career, Currently, though, he says he’s a “full-time writer and editor.” That’s good, though it doesn’t really offer any more protection than archeology against gods and evils. Floyd has published short stories extensively on line.
“Forest Green” will interest readers with its depiction of a moribund accident victim’s gradual transmigration to reincarnation in a rather strange afterlife. This other world includes children of his that he would like to know but who don’t yet exist.
And the world does not quite resemble Earth. For one thing, there are no sexes, and children aren’t born so much as they bud off from an otherwise male parent. The inhabitants of the world seem to be attracted to the “Glitterweb,” an imposing architectural structure. It is pretty, but its function remains to be discovered.
