Guillermo Bowie is a Chilean-trained poet and began writing during his first M.A. under the direction of Chilean poet Enrique A. Giordano. He studied with famous Chilean poet Nicanor Parra during his second M.A. and, after attending Harvard University, did doctoral studies with Harvard graduate Chilean poetry anthologizer Juan A. Epple.
He has a B.A. from Portland, Oregon’s Lewis and Clark College, a M.A. from Columbia University, and a second M.A. in Spanish from New York University. He also studied Spanish at Harvard University and did part of a Ph.D. in Spanish at the University of Oregon.
Guillermo Bowie is a Portland, Oregon based writer. In 2025 he is published in the Maryland Literary Review, Maryland’s Academy of the Heart and Mind, Gorko Gazette, Grey Sparrow Journal; Children, Churches, and Daddies; Book of Matches, Fowl Feathered Review and the Blue Collar Review. He has works forthcoming in Australia’s Other Terrain, Pulsebeat Poetry Journal, The Wise Owl, Hog Creek Hardin, Arrhythmia Magazine, Shoegaze Literary, Heavy Crown Press, and INNSAEI Journal.
