Théodore de Banville

Théodore de Banville (1823-1891) was a particularly talented poet of the Parnassian school. He published 20 volumes of verse. His treatise on versification emphasizes the importance of rhyme and discusses multiple recources of poetic technique. He also wrote several comedies in verse.
