If Susan Jane is as good a web designer as she is an author, all we can say is: “You’re hired!” Susan has published some poetry and stories for young adults. Her story in this issue, “They Fly and They Float,” will not come exactly as a surprise, then: it features a mother and her young daughter who find their sensitivity and compassion at odds with their physical and mental limits. One can’t help liking them, feeling a little sorry for their plight, and wondering what one might do in such a dilemma.
