On A Muse’s Visit

by James Robert Rudolph

Small womb,
modest matrix makes
big babies, fleshy lining
sticky rich.

Shedding solar wantonly,
a blue sky distends
with super oxygen,
germination thrums the land.

Fecund frisson ignites
air fires, flames float,
charged cells mass,
separate, mass, we
swim through the
seed-thickened air.
