Visitors

by Fabrice B. Poussin

Christened by the hand of a mysterious phoenix,
come to an age of departure, baptized once again,
they hang on to a reed, last anchor to the nest.

A full revolution has passed, marked on rays of the sun.
Infinities come and gone, notches on all lives,
they learn their trade on the edge of an adventure.

Speeding through newest corridors in high space,
they seek and see no boundaries, for freedom abounds.
Souls in pairs, the journey is constant for all.

Bags are being packed by the proud parents of the angels
facing travels they could never dream they would follow,
taking away with them all those in search of a future.

Watchful, resting only for a few seconds more,
contemplating life behind the present horizon,
eager, their wings will soon depart, laden with wisdom.

The knowledge belongs to their eternal courage,
soaring to a sphere of secrets they understand.
They bring you to us if for a mere glimpse in time.
