James Robert Rudolph

James has retired to northern New Mexico after a career as a psychologist and teacher in Minneapolis. He is reviving his old interests in poetry and playwriting.

“Time Runs Out” is about as short a poem as the Bewildering Stories editors are comfortable with, but it has comfort to spare. It takes the time-honored image of an hourglass and completes it with yet another image that expands the poem’s vision far beyond that of the small timepiece.
