Daniel Ayles

Daniel is a native of Vermont but studied literature and art at the University of California—Berkeley and lives in Portland, Oregon, where he is the artist in residence at a local charter school.

His art specializes in fractal and plane geometry and runs counter to the current popularity of “décor-focused colors and imagery.” The result is a complex hybrid of traditional and digital media. Daniel Ayles’ bio page describes the philosophy motivating his artwork.

“Multiplicity” is done in acrylic and ink on paper. It is the first in a series of abstract artworks that we’ll be featuring in the coming weeks.
