Eternity

by Julie Rae Wright

One day of eternity
Is worth the life of a soldier.
Nothing wasted, Nothing gained.
Priceless with a cost.
Set on edge, and tested.
Tested again and again.
Teetering, without falling.

Eternity
Seen through the eyes
Of the dead man unknown
Bringing joys and pain
For one day, everlasting
Life-long death.

Happiness brought forth
By sorrows drowned out
Eternity
One more day
Till Eternity can take me away.
