Bewildering Stories welcomes...

Ché Frances Monro

Ché Frances hails from Melbourne, Australia. She says she’s fascinated by identity and the various masks it can wear. She’s especially interested in imagining the effects of cloning as well as bio-cybernetics and mind control.

Wild Type” seems to incorporate more than one of the themes that interest Ché Frances. Female clones from a UFO approach a solitary camper in the wilderness and inveigle him into providing one of them with the new “genetic information” they need.

Some readers will like the story for its humour and welcome the well-worn theme of “alien abduction” being replaced by “alien seduction.” Others may wish for a different ending and, perhaps, flowers and romantic music around the hiker’s campfire. At least we can report unofficially that the story appears to be headed for the Order of the Hot Potato in our Third Quarterly Review.

Ché Frances Monro’s bio sketch can be found here.

Welcome to Bewildering Stories, Ché Frances. We hope to hear from you again soon and often!
