Gay Walker

Mark Dalligan has taken a reprieve from being a banker, and Gay has done the same from practicing medicine, to be more present to her daughter. In the process she’s launched a new career in writing, with some success. She’s the originator of “Norbert and Smedley,” an on-line serial that has attracted a devoted following. And she’s just finished a novel. Gay lives not far from one of our editors, in San Diego.

“A Whole Lot of Empty” is not a humorous story: it’s an allegory of the spirit of the times in America in 2006-2007, after hurricane Katrina.
