“Blackbird”

Hi all! I had a few moments today and thought I’d stop by BwS to see what’s going on. I picked out “Blackbird” by Carol Reid and loved it! I mean, really loved it! It was so well done that when I read the description of Ivy’s face feeling “waxy cold” I thought, “what a great description” and it stuck with me.

However, as I said, so well done that the ending surprised me even when I should have been quick to put two and two together and find a couple of dead people somewhere! Excellent execution (no pun intended) Carol!
