Lyndon G. Perry

As founder of Residential Aliens: Speculative Fiction from the Seven Stars (nice title!), Lyn is a colleague of ours on the Net. He says he’s a former pastor and currently owns a business. A Babbit he ain’t: he says he’d like to write a fantasy novel. And with Lyn’s sense of humor, it should be a hoot and a half. For that “half” business, see his bio, where he makes an arithmetic joke.

“Show, Don’t Tell” is a model of flash fiction. It’s essentially a joke, as most flash fiction is, but it has — pardon the expression — a point, one that goes well beyond itself and skewers the old writer’s bromide “Write what you know.”
