Dean Francis Alfar

With the advent of Dean Francis Alfar, our world-wide reach now extends to the Philippines. Dean lives in Manila and has published widely at home and abroad, especially in horror and fantasy. He has won several prizes, including two for his novels.

“The Middle Prince,” in this issue, is fascinating not only for its elegant prose style but also for the light irony with which it views a traditional subgenre of fantasy.
