Twilight

by Sharon Black

That wrinkle, when I first found it,
put my heart into pain ...
My angry young lover severed my idea of age.

In the presence of twilight,
when stars are weeping,
my womanly declension began.
Fading from all that is pleasant,
and bidding a goodnight to my sins.
