Bewildering Stories biography

H. E. Sappenfield’s story “Tryst” won the short story division of the Paul Gillette Memorial Writing Contest in 2006. Her articles have appeared in national publications such as Velo News, Women’s Sports and Fitness, Better Homes and Gardens, and Diabetic Living, and she is a regular contributor to Mountain Flyer and Mountain House and Home magazines.

Sappenfield is a professional skier and avid cyclist. In 2004, she was a member of the Vail B2B Divas, a four-woman team which won road bicycling’s toughest challenge, the 2600-mile Race Across America.
