Don Royster has lived in Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, Texas, Arizona, the Philippines, Japan and Florida. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Since then, he has worked at a variety of jobs that include warehouseman, computer operator, social worker, door-to-door salesman, public speaker, library clerk and printer. Gifted with an insatiable curiosity and a love for creativity, some of his hobbies are reading, listening to music, going to museums, watching movies and mowing his lawn.

He has had short stories, articles, poetry and a cartoon published by a number of local and national publications and Internet sites. Among his writing projects are a book of poetry, a novel and two plays, one for puppets and one performed in several local productions. From time to time, he has taught classes on writing and reading poetry, writing short stories and developing one’s creativity. Recently he has taken on some editing jobs. And on top of all this, Don is available to other writers as a writing coach.

When he isn't at his desk, sweating hard at the keyboard, he spends his time puttering around his house in Orlando where he resides with Susanna and their three cats, Mama Peaches, Sister Binkie ( better known as Princess) and Buster Buzztail.
