Although I am Polish by birth, I am truly a citizen of the world by choice. I wrote my first story in 1996 and it was short-listed for the prestigious Hennessy Awards, Ireland. I became a regular contributor to Women”s Quality Fiction, Books Ireland, Radio Telefis Eirean, and IncoGnito magazines, both in the UK and Ireland.
My fiction writing was interrupted for a while, as I moved to Latin America, brought up two kids on my own, started contributing to magazines and newspapers and then writing textbooks for Chilean and Mexican Ministries of Education.
Since I went back to writing fiction last year, I have placed five stories in anthologies and magazines in Australia, UK, USA, and Canada.
Sometimes I have a funny feeling that I am Joseph Conrad’s reincarnation, as he was also Polish although I usually get seasick while he never did.
