I have been writing stories and poetry since I was nine years old. Soon afterward I discovered horror stories, and promptly began experimenting with writing my own. My writing was mostly a secret passion over many years, while I worked in many different arenas, including the hospitality industry and even several years as a Special Education teacher. Now the time has come to follow my first and favorite dream of being an author.

I have always been an avid reader. My enduring favorite authors include Joyce and Faulkner, Edgar Allan Poe, and Tolkien. Newer favorites include Neil Gaiman and Patricia A. McKillip, and I have a long-standing respect for Stephen King, of course.

I am originally from the dark, alternate universe of Alabama, but managed to escape many years ago. I currently live in Los Angeles, an alternate universe of its own.
