Bewildering Stories biography

Living in Hamilton, Texas, I am an art teacher working out of my home studio, teaching adults to paint. I am a certified judge for the Visual Arts Scholastic Events and have been a judge and mentor for high school students throughout the Central Texas area.

My paintings and photographs have won awards, and one of my paintings was published in the Rotarian Magazine in 2013. In the 1990’s, I started writing and completed three books, but I did not pursue publication.

An opportunity to work in grassroots politics came along, and I devoted my time to local offices for many years. Having finally retired from that endeavor, I took up writing again four years ago. To date, I have created a substantial portfolio of short stories, two new novels and a novella.

Participating in a writers’ group challenge, I entered an on-line journal contest and, to my delight, won second place. The story, “Dead of Winter,” was published by Toasted Cheese, in 2017.

I participate in two writers’ groups, and recently joined The Writers’ League of Texas.
