Bewildering Stories biography

I like to write about average people (or aliens) caught up in extraordinary happenings, and my characters are often poor or working class. My stories are unlikely to be about wars or galaxy-changing events.

My first novel, Brighter Than the Stars, is available on Amazon. You can read many of my short stories at Bewildering Stories. My novel “Living Standards” is serialized there beginning in late September, 2016. More recently, I’ve dabbled in poetry.

I’ve been a computer security consultant and manager in former lives, but I now write and teach English to immigrants. I’m also an avid hiker and bicyclist. I split my time between Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the summer and Tucson, Arizona in the winter.
