As an avid reader and artist, I finally decided to pursue fiction writing. Yes, I wrote some short stories as a teen, along with poetry, and a children’s book a few years ago. No, I haven’t been published.

I am currently employed as a day care provider (you really need some imagination to keep kids busy), and trying to finish writing a werewolf novel. But alas, time is limited.

My interests include, but are not limited to: reading, drawing, horror movies, basketball, camping, all my animals, and my two kids.

“Visits,” my first story here, was actually a contest submission that had a maximum 1500 word count. The story itself is based on true events with a few minor add-ins. Crystal is my mom, Gary was my dad, and yes, those were their pet names for each other. My dad basically gave up on life in his last year, making it hard on mom. She told me about his friendly visits (especially since he seemed much nicer in the afterlife), and I turned it into a short story.
