Bewildering Stories biography
Born in Roslea, County Fermanagh, in Ireland, I have had many part-time jobs while studying in Wales, before working as a nursing assistant on a psychiatric unit for eight years. After this time, I decided to make specific use of my degree and trained to be an English teacher before moving to Dubai for a year and finally taking up a post in England. As a profession, teaching represents constant frustration that is ultimately outweighed by achievements and victories both small and large.
I stopped writing while initiating my career as a teacher, but lately have started to write poetry and stories again. I am also writing a novel but, as with a first marathon, I just want to complete the distance.
I have had poetry published in The Journal of the English Association (summer 2005).
