Yuri Bunchik

Bewildering Stories biography

Yuri Bunchik is a Russian-American poet, translator, and essayist. He resides in New York City. Born in Odessa, Ukraine, in 1962, he came to the USA in 1978.

He is the author of six books of poetry:

The Sunflowers; The Prodigal Son; Selected Poetry (published in Russian in Odessa, Ukraine, 1994-2004).

Translations into English of The Selected Lyrics of Marina Tsvetaeva Moscow, Russia, 2004.

I Write As I Breathe (New York, USA, 1999 and 2003, in English and Russian).

Captivated by the Sacred Wonder (Boston, USA, 2012, in Russian). The book includes poetry, autobiographical prose, essays, and correspondence with Anastasia Tsvetaeva, Marina Tsvetaeva's sister.

The author’s poetry and articles have also been published in various periodicals.
