Bewildering Stories biography

I am in my sixth year as an English and Creative Writing teacher in Kansas. It is my pleasure to motivate younger generations to see the value of stories, and I run my writing classes to resemble as closely as possible a writer’s group of which I am a willing member. To slightly modify C.S. Lewis’s words, we read and write to know we are not alone.

When I told my eldest son “The Home of Gifts” was going to be published by Bewildering Stories, he said, “You should write more like that, to make a series.” Maybe Mark Sands will find himself in the middle of another adventure soon; who knows?

As for now, I am nearing completion of my master’s degree while serving as a regular essayist for Wichita Family Magazine and entering the long editing/adding stages of book-writing.
