I am a high school Social Studies teacher in Bakersfield, California, where I live with my wife and two young daughters. I went to college at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and hold a Master’s degree in Education from California State University, Bakersfield. My fiction has also appeared in the New Mirage Quarterly and, as a student, I won a national award in the National Scholastic Writing competition. Outside of writing, my hobbies include tennis and reading.

My favorite authors include Ian McEwan, Walker Percy, and Richard Russo.
